Terms & Conditions

  • The Organiser is Southampton International Boat Show Limited, company number 1247541, Marine House, Thorpe Lea Road, Egham, Surrey, TW20 8BF. The Show is the PSP Southampton Boat Show 2010.
  • Visitors will not be allowed admission to the Show without a valid ticket. Please check all ticket purchases as mistakes cannot always be rectified. For all ticket queries please call See Tickets on 0871 230 2360. Calls charged at National rate.
  • Promotional tickets cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  • Presentation of the ticket for Show admission constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions upon which the Organiser is prepared to grant entry.
  • Tickets can not be exchanged, or transferred, nor may they be resold for commercial gain. Refunds are not available on tickets.
  • For public safety, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse admission and may conduct security searches.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of the whole or any part of the Show due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control without obligation to refund or exchange tickets.
  • The Organiser cannot accept financial or other responsibility for any loss or liability incurred by the public at the Show arising as a result of contracts entered into by visitors with any exhibitor or advice sought or obtained from any exhibitor, or any loss or damage to personal property brought into the Show.
  • Visitors may be photographed, filmed or recorded for marketing/advertising/broadcast or security purposes during the Show.
  • The distribution of leaflets or any other advertising material or the sale of articles anywhere within the Exhibition premises is strictly forbidden without prior written permission from the Organiser, which also reserves the right at its absolute discretion to confiscate such articles for infringement of this condition.
  • A fee will apply to each booking transaction. 
  • There is no re-admission to the Show

KIDS GO FREE

  • Up to two children 15 and under can gain access to the Show with every standard adult ticket presented. This does not apply to premium tickets such as the Platinum or Ladies’ Day £16.00 ticket.
  • All children entering the Show must have a ticket. To obtain child tickets you can order in advance via the website or the call centre. Alternatively, cashiers at the main Show entrance can issue child tickets with the presented adult ticket. If you intend to bring more than two children per paying adult, any additional children can be brought to the Show by purchasing a concession ticket.

PLATINUM EXPERIENCE TICKET 

  • The terms and conditions for General Ticket Purchases apply – see above.
  • The Platinum Ticket is valid only for the date and time shown on the printed ticket.
  • This ticket permits Show entry and the retained ticket portion must be shown to board the pre-booked Power Boat experience
  • Children do not go free with this ticket, and there are no concessions or group discounts on this ticket. Children under the age of 8 are not permitted on the Power Boat Experience. All children aged 9 to 15 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The lapel badge is not valid on its own for entry to the Show, the Power Boat Experience, or the Platinum Lounge so please ensure your ticket is kept safe throughout the day.
  • The ticket and lapel badge must be shown to access the facilities of the dedicated Platinum Lounge.
  • Showing the ticket and lapel badge together entitles the bearer to morning tea, coffee and pastries, hot fork buffet lunch, afternoon tea and cake, all to be consumed within the Platinum Lounge, where there is a private pay bar service which accepts cash and cards. Alcohol is only served to those aged 18 years and over.
  • All participants MUST wear the buoyancy aid provided.
  • Please note that the Platinum Lounge is accessible by steps, and boarding the luxury power boat may require using steps.  If you have difficulties in climbing steps please inform us preferably prior to booking your Platinum Experience ticket(s), or prior to arrival so that we can make alternative arrangements if possible.   • Neither the Organiser nor any of its members, Show exhibitors, agents or employees, shall be liable in any way whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to property, or for personal injury or death unless caused by their negligence.
  • Participants must notify the Organisers at the time of booking of any medical condition that in the participants opinion could be affected by taking part in the Power Boat Experience, e.g. advanced pregnancy, back complaints, heart conditions etc. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse any booking or access to the power boat experience on medical grounds. 
  • All bookings are accepted on the understanding that any regulations or directions given by the Power Boat Experience crew or the Organiser’s staff are to be observed. Participants are asked to respect the equipment provided, compensation will be sought from anyone causing damage to equipment. 
  • No animals are permitted on any of the boats.
  • No alcohol is to be taken or consumed during the Power Boat Experience or consumed in excess prior to boarding the Power Boat Experience. Due to the danger caused by people under the influence of alcohol or drugs to other guests and our crew we will not admit any one we suspect to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  
  • Participants are to wear suitable footwear when partaking in the Power Boat Experience. Suitable footwear means flat soft soled, non-marking shoes or trainers.
  • If any injuries or damage to valuables occurs, participants are to notify the Organiser's office immediately and complete a report
  • Life saving equipment for the Power Boat Experience will be provided as necessary.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to change your Power Boat Experience sailing time in order to have fully crewed boats.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Power Boat Experience at any time due to factors beyond our control. If for any reason beyond our reasonable control we cannot offer you the Power Boat Experience that is part of the Platinum Experience at the time specified, we will offer you an alternative time within the duration of the Show. If you cannot make that date we regret that no refunds are available.
  • The Organiser reserves the right at all times to refuse or restrict the use of facilities. The right is also reserved to evict anyone who refuses to comply with the conditions as stipulated, or who behaves inappropriately or, in any way, causes damage or annoyance to any other persons.

 

Ladies day TICKET

  • The terms and conditions for General Ticket Purchases apply – see above.
  • Available only on Thursday 16 September 2010
  • The Ladies Day Ticket is valid only for the date and time shown on the printed ticket.
  • This ticket permits Show entry and the retained ticket portion must be shown to board the pre-booked Power Boat experience

  • Although Ladies Day is an event aimed to encourage ladies to attend the Show, the facilities offered are open to persons of all sexes and we cannot guarantee the number of ladies who will be present.

 

Ladies day TICKET Thursday 16 September

  • The terms and conditions for General Ticket Purchases apply – see above. 
  • No concessions or group tickets available on this offer. 
  • The Champagne Ticket includes entry to the Show and one glass of champagne per ticket per holder. Alcohol is only served to those aged 18 years and over.
  • Upto two children 15 years and under can go free with this ticket, however they will not receive a drinks voucher. 
  • To get your glass of champagne you must redeem your voucher in the Piper Heidsieck Champagne Bar. This is only valid on Thursday 16 September and cannot be used on any other Show date.

 

Ladies day: Best dressed competition

  • Ladies day is Thursday 16 September 2010.
  • Ladies entering the competition can also enjoy a glass of bubbly whilst stocks last at the Piper Heidsieck Champagne & Seafood Bar.
  • The Southern Daily Echo may publish photos taken during the course of the day. If you do not wish to enter the competition please let the judging panel know if they approach you.
  • The  winners will be announced on Ladies Day Thursday 16 September 2010.
  • The winner will be awarded the following prize:  A one night spa break in a Junior Suite for two people, which will include dinner, overnight accommodation, breakfast plus a one hour treatment per person - all courtesy of Chewton Glen. The night stay is valid midweek only and excludes Friday and bank holidays. Subject to availability.
  • Second prize is for dinner, bed & breakfast for two at the White Star Tavern in the heart of Southampton courtesy of Ideal Leisure. This prize is for two people in a Superior Room. Dinner to the value of £50 all drinks and extras to be paid for. Includes a full English breakfast.  Date subject to availability. Booked direct through Joey Koksal who is responsible for room reservations. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.
  • Third prize is a detoxifying Algae wrap for one person courtesy of the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel Southampton. This prize is valid until end of March 2011. Excludes bank holidays and special event dates. Subject to availability. This prize is non transferable and has no cash value.
  • The judges decision is final and no correspondance will be entered in to.
  • Where prizes are provided by a third party then the winner(s) will be required to complete all appropriate or applicable booking or other formalities direct with such provider. National Boat Shows Ltd will have no responsibility for the acts or defaults of any other persons.
