Dragonfly 25 Sport

OVERVIEW

Dragonfly 25 trimaran offers high performance for sport and racing sailors. The concept is simple – it’s easy to sail even single-handed, trailerable behind a normal family car, and the mast can even be stepped alone. In conclusion, this is the all-purpose, multifunctional multihull.

Dragonfly 25 is a great daysailer, a weekend cruiser with family or friends, or an exhilarating race boat. Two versions are offered, to suit different sailing styles. Firstly, Dragonfly 25 Touring is ideal for family sport cruising. On the other hand, Dragonfly 25 Sport with its taller carbon wing mast offers more dynamic sailing and racing. However, both versions feature a self-tacking jib for easy upwind sailing. In addition, all sail controls are led to the cockpit. Therefore solo-sailing is easy and fun. Finally, a Code 0 or gennaker maximise downwind thrills.

Dragonfly 25 accommodates 3 adults, or 2 adults plus 2 children, in an open-plan cabin with seated headroom. Although compact, the cabin is beautifully finished and offers plenty of stowage. In addition, there are large lockers in the floats. Meanwhile, the kick-up rudder and centreboard allow your Dragonfly 25 to float in knee-deep water. As a result, you’re free to to glide up to your favourite beach and simply walk ashore.

The Swing Wing system allows Dragonfly 25 to fold quickly to fit a single marina berth, or the road trailer. Folding the floats only takes around 30 seconds per side. Firstly by pulling a rope, followed by a turn of the winch to set the trampoline tension.

Dragonfly 25 is light, so it can be towed behind a normal family car. Set-up time from trailer to sailing can be as little as 1 hour with 2 people. The mast can even be raised solo, either on the trailer or afloat.

Finally, we were very proud when Dragonfly 25 was announced as winner of European Yacht of the Year 2016, in the Multihull category.
