Guests could enjoy mouth-watering cuisine and complimentary drinks throughout the day in the exclusive waterfront lounge. Having been nurtured by the legendary Heston Blumenthal, the remarkable chef Jonas Lodge guided guests through a world of culinary excellence with his dishes curated especially for the Southampton International Boat Show.
With 15 years at the helm as a Head & an Executive chef, Jonas’s early breakthroughs took shape under the guidance of Paul Heathcote, a distinguished holder of 2 Michelin stars.
Jonas has worked at a number of prestigious restaurants including the Fat Duck and the Hind’s Head in Bray. His European experience includes working for one of Spain’s most respected chefs Sergio Arola at the Michelin starred Restaurant Arola in Madrid. Starting his career as a Commis Chef at Gees Restaurant in Oxford, Jonas was guided by Head Chef Michael Wright who taught him the importance of using the freshest, seasonal local produce that is available.
Now settled in the UK, Jonas worked on developing a unique menu, exclusively for the Southampton International Boat Show. Inspired by the meeting of land and sea and ensuring special dietary requirements are catered for, this exquisite menu was packed with flavour and available to all Quayside Club members.
Jonas curated this menu for the show, taking inspiration from his impressive international career as well as from the exceptional culinary opportunities that the south coast provides.
On Saturday 14th September 2024, Quayside Club members were able to participate in a luxury spirit tasting in the Quayside Club Waterside Lounge. What better way to relax than sitting back with a range of Remy Martin’s luxury spirits, at no extra cost.
